Weather on Prince Edward Island

Spring months are normally May and June. Typically snow cover will start to melt in April though periods of freezing rain and ice can make travel more difficult.

Summer temperatures range in the mid 20s with peaks above 30. The longs days and fine weather are great for beach lovers. The season runs from June normally to mid September.

Autumn days can be quiet warm, but the evening temperatures will change quickly. October normally brings the most rainfal, often associated with weather conditions coming up the East Coast from the warmer waters.

Winters can be harsh, with the combination of high winds and snowfall making for unpredicable conditions. Freezing temperatures can run from November into April. However, the snow cover does make for great skiing, ice skating and other winter activities.
